Giving Thanks for Friends ***WINNER ANNOUNCED***

CONGRATS: Wendy! I’ve emailed you!

Hi all! This is the week of giving thanks and amazing giveaways!

Today we will focus on friends. I have had some amazing friendships through the years.

Emely who has been a friend since we were in the 2nd grade. For almost 30 years I have known one of the most beautiful people life has sent my way. She is more than a friend, she’s a sister. I am grateful for knowing that no matter how far we live from each other, she is always there for me.

MillyFriends1

Another amazing friend I have known is Heidi. I met her first year of college and we have never looked back. She might live far but if I need her I know I can call her.

MillyFriends2

I have been blessed with amazing people like some of these lovely ladies:

Robyn who has become a great person I can talk to and who is always on my side. She is thoughtful and sweet and I couldn’t imagine not knowing her! In a business where so much is lies and fake friends, she has proven to be a real person I can depend on, trust and be myself with.

DeAnna has given friends that bring a smile to your face a new meaning. Whenever I speak with her she is always worried I’m working too hard and will make time for me even though her life is super busy. I can’t be happier to have her in my life.

Sheri, Jenn, Teracia, Jessica, Nicole and Bambi. They are the epitome of amazing. They help me so much and don’t ask for anything but my friendship in return. These ladies mean the world to me.

Tonya. Though you are gone, I have never and will never forget you. You made me open up and become the author I am today by creating friends when I was wary. You showed me what an amazing REAL friend was about and you never once turned away from me. You made time for me and when I needed you, you were there, guns blazing. I LOVE YOU. I always will.

I am hopeful you have great friends like this in your life.

Today’s giveaway:

To kick things off we will start with a $25 Amazon GC.

AmazonGiftcard25

To enter:

Tell me what friend you are grateful for and why.

All winners will be announced Sunday November, 29th so stay tuned and keep entering.

Ruth, because in 2006 I was told I had 18 months left to live. No not dead yet. Through the all my other friends and acquaintances forgot me. Only Ruth has stayed with me. Bed bound and nursing care now she is still emotionally supportive and brightens my days with here visits and caring heart. God blessed me when she entered my life.

My best friend is my mom. She had me when she was very young and it was only her and me for many years. She is always there for me and I am always there for her. She understands me like no other person does. She likes the same books I like and enjoys playing dress up at conventions with me. She is one of those friends who would be sitting beside me in jail, saying wow that was fun lets do it again next weekend. :)

I will always be thankful for my mother. Yes she was my mother before she was my friend but many people don’t have that kind of relationship. She will always tell it like it is with me but she is always trying to get me to try new things and be open about many things. If it was not for my mom I would have never started reading.

I am very thankful for my friend Samantha who I have been friends with since 5th grade. She befriended a shy girl who kept to herself and schoolwork. Making friends wasn’t easy because I was often picked on and any new students were told how weird and insane I was. We connected over schoolwork and love for reading. To this day we are friends and we continue to recommend books to each other. I would not be the person I am today without her and even though we are in different states we are still there for each other.

My best friend Jenne. I met her on the bus in 7th grade and we hit it off right from the first sentence. We both were pretty shy people then so it was a big surprise for us to just start a conversation. She’s been my rock for as long as I’ve known her. She stuck by me through really hard times when other people who I thought were my best friends at the time basically abandoned me when I was going through a very depressive time. They told me to just get over it and blew me off and Jenne helped me and listened to me. I will forever be grateful for her.

Eboni she has been with me through a great many things. I know I can always count on her to be there for me and my family. Gloria she is my ride or die girl. Meaning no matter what is going on she is there. No matter how long it’s been we can call each other and start talking like we spoke hours ago instead of months. This may sound crazy but my best friend is my husband I can tell anything even the bad stuff about us sometimes he listen and then we fix it and laugh.

I do consider the books I read as friends, just like people some stay with you for years, some you think of long after your finished. I never feel lonely when I’m reading, I laugh an cry along side them. As for people that are friends I have two main ones that have been with me for years an have helped me through so much up an downs. Vickie Lynn who has been by my side since I was 15 & prego, she loved me, supported me an helped me be the mom I wanted to be to my now 17 year old daughter. She has been in my life since, for words of hope or wisdom or to help me laugh through some aweful or scary next step in my life. Brianna Clark, has been a friend for just about 10 years, she has helped when my deterreating health made it hard to clean up after three wild children, she has read along side me when words didn’t need said but chapters demanded to be read. Has come to my bedside in the hospital no matter how many times I have landed there. These two have been my champions through many battles, my seamstresses when life has left me tattered an torn an my sisters even if we don’t share any dna. I love them both so much!!! https://millytaiden.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_rose.gifhttps://millytaiden.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_heart.gifhttps://millytaiden.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_rose.gifhttps://millytaiden.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_heart.gifhttps://millytaiden.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_cry.gif

My very best friend is my hubby because if not for him showing me what it is like to be truely loved, I could have become a very bitter person. Then I have two very special friends that keep me humble and my feet on the ground and they are Teracia and Iris who have taught me to love my authors and not expect things from it. They are there in sickness and in health and we not married……lmao…….Then there Tonya I miss her daily she always had encouragement to keep going never give up. Then there you Milly the first author I ever joined a street team for the reason I enjoy trucking with my hubby cause I get to pimp you and if it wasn’t for you would have never meet Teracia or Iris thank you so very much

I’m grateful for my hubby. He’s everything to me. He makes me laugh like no other, understands my quirks and helps me through them, loves me for me, he’s a big softie with our nieces/nephews and adores our pets, and he says my greatest quality is my big heart. Who wouldn’t melt over that?

I’m grateful for my best friend who is always there for me. She’s a shoulder to cry on, an ear for venting, and a laugh when I need it.

I’m grateful for my forever friend. After over 35 years of friendship, she truly gets my humor and I never have to worry about anything being misinterpreted because she knows how I think. We can go months without talking, yet talk like it’s only been a day since the last time.

    Thanks for the chance.

I’m thankful for my daughter. She came into my life after I had so much heartbreak. After having 3 miscarriages I thought I wouldn’t ever have a kid. I was bitter because all our friends were having the one thing I wanted more than air, and all they did was complain. But during Christmas I found out I was pregnant and she makes everyday so much better. She makes me smile when I don’t think I have anything to smile for, all around she makes me a better person.

Wow, friends are awesome! I have my bestie of 9 years, Louise. When I first moved to LA from NC, she was already married to my husband’s (my fiance at the time) best friend. She could tell I was a fish out of the water, and truly took me under her wing, and has protected me fiercely with her love and support. Without her, my life would be pretty darn bad!! #lovemybestielulu

I am SO grateful for my friend Diane. She sadly passed away 25 years ago, but she made a huge impact in my life. We were co-workers and I was going through a terrible divorce. She taught me to hug, to count on other people, and to accept myself after years of emotional abuse. She was such a lovely, open person after suffering herself from a horrible marriage. I learned so much from her, and wish she could have met my children. She did get to meet my husband and attend our wedding- to see me happy!

I made two amazing friends who I met through FB and Goodreads. Our love for books brought us together, but we have so much more in common! All three of us live in other countries. I live in the Netherlands, one of them lives in Turkey and the other in Miami. However we all three have Turkish backgrounds. I just love discussing books with them, and we also have weekly skype sessions on Sunday that lasts for 2-4 hours.

I have great friends – one that I have had since high school. It’s always fun to get together – we have traveled, have parties, and just do the ordinary things like shopping or calls- but they are my extended support system- and I try to be theirs.

My best friend Jeanie! We have known each other for 25 years. She is my rock. Unfortunately we live about 22 hours apart, so we don’t get to see each other much. But, all I have to do is pick up the phone. She gets me. I get her. We don’t ever have to explain ourselves.

My best friend and “sister,” as he likes to say, lol. Hector has been a rock in my life. He has been with me thru some very difficult times. When my husband went overseas I was 5 months into my pregnancy. Hector had sympathy cravings, lol. He would show up at my door after midnight with French fries and milkshakes. I can always rely on him to be there when I need him most. He has such a big heart. I literally cannot go ANY where with him without running into someone who knows him, lol. He has a very outgoing personality. My husband calls him my sancho, lol. Makes it even funnier because he is very very gay, you can’t mistake him for straight, lol.

I have several friends from HS and college that I keep in touch with. We get together whenever we can but it is difficult as we are dispersed all over the country. I met a wonderful woman , Connie, 8 years ago through my job. We walk, talk and do fun things as often as we can. She has some health issues that restrict her activity.

My husband is my best friend. We’ve moved frequently over the years and lost touch with with a lot of friends due to distance and time. He’s always been there for me. Gives me advice when I ask, a vent when I need to blow steam, and defends me when he feels I’m being taken advantage of. We still go dancing when we can, explore tide pools when tide is out, and frequently take walks together. Still laugh together, and have fun. My life wouldn’t be the same without him.

I am so grateful for a person that just recently became my friend. We met through mutual friends but we became fast friends almost instantly. We had something in common that none of out other friends had. We both have children with Autism. We’re there for each other when we need a break from the chaos that is our everyday life. We vent, we laugh, we shop (we both have an obsession with A.C. Moore ) and we get each other through the overwhelming part of being an Autism parent. Without her I don’t I’d make it some days.https://millytaiden.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_heart.gif

I’m thankful for my “twin” Angie. I met her on FB at a book release party a little over a year ago. We friended one another and discovered that we really must have been separated at birth, despite the fact that she’s about 2 yrs younger than me, has been happily married to her high school sweetheart for more than 20 yrs (i’ve never been married), has 2 kids(i don’t have any), have similar family issues and enjoy many of the same likes in movies, tv shows, music and especially romance authors, lol, and yet we live 4 states away from each other and have never met. We have the same sense of humor so keep each other in stitches with our daily convos. Some people are meant to find one another and I truly believe we’ll be besties for the rest of our lives.

She is non stop laughter, she thinks she is a Nascar wannabe driver but that’s ok because she knows what she’s doing! Lol! But she is always there we don’t have to talk every day and see each other every day to know that if needed it only takes one text or call and we are there. So my friend that is so special to me is my sister from another mister Victoria Allen Sanford!??????☝????

I have been friends with my friend Chris since we were both pregnant for our daughters, who are now 26. Both of our boys were 3 and we hit it off right away. On Jan 2, 2011 I lost my son to war induced PTSD. Even though Chris was going through a painful divorce, she was my rock. A month later she had neck surgery and I had a massive heart attack, so after I was done with cardiac rehab I would go to her house and help her with stuff she couldn’t do. To this day, she is my only friend that calls me on my son’s special days to let me know that she is thinking of me.

Just the fact that she had it in her heart to help me out without even questioning everything gave me some sort of hope. It helped me, help my family out. It gave me hope to live life knowing I didn’t fail my mother. I’m grateful for my bff Amy. We have been bff’s and neighbors for about 16-17 years now. She has been the only friend I never wanted to lose touch with. When we went away to school we made sure that we always either texted or called each other every few days and we shared everything with each other. She was there for me every time I needed her for births in the family and for the deaths for the bad dates and the good dates she was there for the betrayals of people who you thought you could trust but ended up hurting you instead. When I was in a horrible car accident she was the first and only person besides my family that came to see me and check on me to make sure I was ok. I don’t think of her as my friend I think of her as my sister and I’m thankful everyday that I know her.
