31 days of Christmas

31dayslogoI cannot believe it is already December! I hope everyone enjoyed a long, holiday weekend (if you’re in the US) and had a great Thanksgiving.  I know we’re all having a rough time today with getting back to work. But, hopefully I can cheer you up.

Mina Carter & I are getting into the Christmas spirit and hope you all will join us. Mina and I will be alternating each day with a fun Christmas themed post, which will each have a smaller giveaway and a grand prize winner will #win a Kindle Voyager or $199 gift card .  So, make sure to stop by the blogs each day to enter to win.  All winners will be announced here on the blog on January 4, 2015.

To get things started, lets talk about holiday travel. Do you stay home or do you travel?  If you travel, do you drive, fly or other?  Usually, we stay local. But, this year I am super excited. My husband and I are taking our son to Disney. I cannot wait! Fingers crossed for no major delays or bad travel weather.

Today’s #giveaway will be a signed sports pack, all you have to do to enter is leave a comment below with your answers about your holiday travel plans. 31dayssportspack

We stay home for Christmas – open presents on Christmas eve – that way, everyone can visit other family members on Christmas day.

The last years we stay at home, but when I was little we used to go to the village, to visit my Grandma!

My husband is deployed and is coming home for R&R for the holidays so we are enjoying out time with him before he has to leave again. That’s all I need. <3

We stay home for the holidays. Growing up I was shuttled every holiday between Mom and Dad’s house and each sides relatives. As soon as I had children, I made everyone come to me for the holiday. No more rushing around.

We stay at home visiting family and friends. This is our first time home in the States for the holidays in a couple of years so I’m sure there will be more visiting than usual.

I always stay with my mom for the holiday, though she and I live near so I stay home! Now that I have twin babies, I’m so glad I don’t have to travel anymore! Happy Holidays, everyone :-)

We usually do dinner with my Aunt and Uncle. And then open presents either in the morning or night depending on when my nephew comes from his moms to my house.

I’m staying at home. I’m not too well so eating outside does not call to me and i prefer staying home with my family anyway

I am taking my hubby and son to Tunisia straight after Christmas and we are spending New Year there. They have each been my rock this year with dealing with the loss of my mum. I love them both so wanted to treat them

Ah! I am agoraphobic, so these days I stay home! But that is really nothing new. When kids were little, we might go to Grandma’s house. One was just over the hill in the next valley, so we drove. But the other required a plane ride. We didn’t visit her much during the holidays. Only once. We actually preferred to stay at home most of the time.

Our plans vary year to year. Some we have flown to Florida to go on a Caribbean cruise, some we stay home, and a few years ago we had a motor home and drove to Tybee Island, Georgia.

This year we are leaving before Christmas day for South America. We have a 5 day land vacation in Chile and Argentina and then are leaving on an 11 day cruise to Uruguay and Brazil. We leave on a Monday and don’t come home until three Tuesday’s later – longest time away from work except maternity leave!!!

We travel to my mom’s Christmas Eve and then head home for Christmas at our house on Christmas day. It’s only about 1 1/2 hrs to my moms so it’s not a bad drive but it makes for a long day.

We stay at home for Christmas. In fact I cook a huge dinner and the entire family comes to my house. All of us have a holiday that we host the family and mine is Christmas.

I avoid the malls like the plague now through the end of the year and prefer to shop online for holiday gifts through the end of the year.

I’m making a few gifts this year for family members, which means visiting the post office at some point to mail off items later this month.

I stay around here on the holiday. I usually go to my grandma’s on or before Christmas Eve depending when all the family can be there and we have dinner and open presents and visit. Then one day in December I will go to my parents for dinner and present exchange and then on Christmas Day we stay home in the morning and watch the little ones open there presents then that afternoon I head to my Grandpa’s for dinner and visiting family. So as you can see I don’t travel far but my holidays are busy but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
