SPS: Party Crasher

A bit of Party Crasher. Coming 2/22!!!

In stupefied shock, she watched his bronzed muscles flex as he took a step toward her. She widened her eyes and almost fell out the window trying to move away. She’d known him all her life, and there wasn’t one time she’d seen him look like…like that.
Stunned, dry mouthed, and getting hornier by the minute, she let her gaze roam over him. From the wet short spikes of his dark hair, to his wide chest, down the eight-pack abs, and lower to the precarious towel that showed a hint of pubic hair, she visually devoured him. She gulped.

Cover Reveal – Party Crasher & Giveaway ***WINNER***

It’s Cover Reveal Day! And what’s a new cover without a giveaway? LOL

**WINNER IS HEATHER! Sending you an email Heather!**

Cover candy. It’s the things that make us say ‘oooooh’ or ‘eh’. A combination of a good cover and an interesting blurb can make anyone want to read a book. As an erotic romance writer, covers are very important to me, because they need to show the reader some of the sexiness that’s happening inside the book. I love when I get a new cover and it brings a smile to my face. I have been lucky thus far and have great covers. Just take a look at the one for Wynter’s Captive or Wicked Valentine. Stranded Temptation has such great colors as does Fate’s Wish. But even further back to Sharp Change, you see the amazing work the artist did to create a captivating cover. I think one of the things I like is not having covers that look like anyone else’s. I know there’s limited amount of stock, but I don’t want to be a repeat offender to the same cover. It’s kind of sad that you sometimes see a lot of books with the same cover. I like to have a cover that can capture attention and isn’t going to remind readers of a different author’s book. I can’t wait to show off my cover for Caged Heat. The story alone makes me smile and you’ll love the cover. It’s being revealed on 2/21. The day before my sexy Party Crasher is up for sale.

And without further ado… Here is Party Crasher!

Coming to you 2/22 (ONE WEEK) from April Angel

Thanks to my Sexy Biters for their suggested quotes: Jennifer, Michelle and Brooklyn

“Because I need you. I’m not going to go away. My life, it’s empty without you.”

~Mr. Buff~

“Oh, yeah. Your ass is so fine I want to take a bite out of it.” She growled, chomped her teeth, and then licked her lips.

~Stranded Temptation~

“Just like I want to spend all my time with you. I want to do things to make you smile, because I love to see your smile. And I want to hurt anyone, myself included, for making you cry.”

~Wynter’s Captive~

“Listen, Cade. You’re like the hottest man er, wolf, uh, wolf-man? Anyway, seriously hot man I’ve ever met. Really you are.”

~Wynter’s Captive ~

“Nothing, just a pesky migraine.” She continued to stare at Max. “It seems some headaches just don’t know when to go away.”

~Wicked Valentine~

“Stop!” His roar would’ve made the biggest man in his pack cower in submission.

She gasped. “Did you just yell at me?”

~Wynter’s Captive ~

She was impatient. Her hands grasped and tugged at him.  Pulling her hands from his shoulders, he held them behind her back in a tight grip. “Look at me.”

She whimpered at the impact his tone had on her.

“Do you want to come?”

~Mr. Buff~

But then there’s always something wrong with our heart breakers. He’s afraid of commitment, has some kind of insecurity, or isn’t sure how to express his feelings, so we believe the worst. Those sexy adoring men we love and are super misunderstood are the ones that fill our nightly fantasies and make us creep back for more.

Almost 300 bloggers have giveaways and posts about those men we love!

Nina took a few steps toward the dimly lit passage in the woods before she turned to Max’s enquiring voice. “I’m just going to the ladies room for a moment.” She pointed in the direction of the trees.

“Wait! That’s not…”

She ignored Max’s call to her and strolled off, breaking twigs and dead leaves with each step. Mosquitoes nibbled on her legs, each bite a constant reminder that she wished she was home in her bed, relaxing, or at least with someone that would help her fight the arousal shooting through her whenever she glanced at Max. But she’d broken up with her last boyfriend a while back. Since he didn’t get the message that she was no longer interested, she had stopped going to the places she might encounter him.

With each step she took, the sound of the river beckoned her in its direction. Her foot caught, and she tripped on a branch. She squealed as the earth tilted in front of her. Rocky ground rushed up to meet her face.

A strong pair of hands grabbed her by the waist and hauled her backward. “I got you.” Max’s deep voice caressed her ear while he helped her straighten.

Swooshing from water streaming nearby and crickets, somewhere in the vicinity, were the only sounds to be heard. Each noise drove home the fact she was outdoors and anyone could come by, not that she cared.

He shifted her in his arms until she faced him, her front leaning heavily into his muscled body. She sighed, glancing up into his shadowed face. Not that she needed light to know what his delectable square jaw looked like. Or how brilliant his blue eyes were. He leaned back into a thick tree trunk, pulling her with him.

Slow caresses trailed down her back, making her shiver and her blood thicken in her veins. With each intimate touch, her body throbbed. It was time to stop torturing herself. She couldn’t fight her body any longer.

“I think you’ve had a few too many, beautiful. Let’s get you back to your cabin.”

“No.” She lifted on the tips of her trainers, curled her hands around his neck, and pulled his head down to her. “Now stop torturing me, and kiss me, damn it.”

He groaned softly. “Sabrina, you’ve definitely had too much to drink. Sneaking in wine was not part of the agenda, you know.” He stroked down her spine to the curve of her ass and palmed her cheeks.

She huddled closer, cradling his erection in the juncture of her thighs. “I know it wasn’t, but Eve is boring. And it’s not that I’ve had too much too much to drink. I’ve just had enough, Max. I’m tired of fighting this. I want you.”

“Baby, you hate my guts.” He chuckled, lowered, and dropped a kiss on her nose.

Arousal gathered inside her, heating her blood by more degrees than she cared to admit. “No. I don’t hate you. I just don’t like that I want you so much.” She kissed his jaw, loving the sound of his sharp inhale when she licked his neck.

Breaths mingled, gazes connected, and wet heat dripped from her sex. It was pure torture to have his sexy mouth so close and not get a taste. “Just kiss me, Max. I need you.”

Peaks of tension zigzagged inside her and made her shudder. He held her neck with one hand, tilted her head back, and swooped down for a kiss. Potent need, unlike any she’d ever felt before, possessed her. She whimpered into the sensual kiss. Each swipe of his tongue over hers added kindling to the explosions going off inside her. She raked her nails down his T-shirt, over his hard-muscled chest, and to his jeans. “Fuck me.”

He drew back from their kiss, ending the twining of their tongues. A scowl, deeply etched on his face, showed his disbelief at her words. But this time she wasn’t going with logic. She decided to give in to what her body desired. And it desired Max.

“Sabr—” One soft moan left his lips when she gripped his cock over his jeans.

“Max, this isn’t a game. I want to see you.” She panted, unbuckling his belt. “I want to touch you.” Excitement rushed through her, urging her to unzip his jeans. “I want to taste you…”

I hope you enjoyed that! Now let’s get to the goodies. For a chance at one of my GCs, tell me about a fun and non-heartbreaking Valentine.

Guest Blog – The Kabrini Message – J.R. Egles

Hello everyone,

Today I am showing off the amazing new science fiction book The Kabrini Message. The story of how this book came about will leave you misty-eyed. It’s pure family love of a sister that wanted to make her brother’s dream come true. Now I leave you with Marie Carhart, representing for J.R. Egles. Check it out!

Thank you so much for inviting me to visit with you today, Milly and to share our story with you and your readers!

It was late one night in the late spring 2011 when I was in my attic searching for old family photos for a project for my son’s upcoming wedding.  I found the photographs—but I also found something else.

I discovered it as I was digging through a box of photos that had come from my mother’s house.  My mother passed away in 1994, and I must have received the box of photographs and mementos shortly after that—but I had not gone through it until this particular late night adventure.  Inside the old box, I came across a large manila envelope, marked in my mother’s handwriting:  “Joe’s Book”.  The manuscript was dated 1987.

I vaguely remembered, many years earlier, hearing my mother talk about a book that my brother Joe had written.  She was typing his hand-written manuscript for him.  I don’t believe I ever heard Joe speak of it himself; and I had never heard any more of the book until now.

I tossed the envelope aside to bring downstairs, thinking it might make for good summer reading and that was the beginning…

Joe was a brilliant man—quite possibly a genius.  However, (and I say this with great love and affection) it seemed to me that he never followed through on anything.  When I first found The Kabrini Message, I wasn’t sure if he had ever attempted to get it published.  I assumed that he had not—or that he probably hadn’t tried very hard.

The oldest of my three brothers, Joe was twelve years older than me.  The year I started first grade, he started college.  Although there was a large age difference, I do have a few vivid memories of growing up with him.  I remember Joe building his own telescopes as a teen (not from a kit, but from scratch—grinding the lenses himself, etc.).  He was absolutely fascinated with stars and planets, and he spent much of his time at the observatory.

So, as I began reading Joe’s book, The Kabrini Message, I was not surprised to find that it was Science Fiction.  (What else would Joe write?)  Although Sci-Fi is not my usual reading genre, I found that I couldn’t put it down – I loved it!

I was amazed and in awe of the imagination it took to create all of those twists and turns and intricacies.  Most of all, I loved the quick wit and humor in the dialogue between the characters.

I’m not surprised that my mother took the time to type Joe’s entire manuscript. She and Joe had a special relationship; she was his “champion of causes”.  She believed in him and always encouraged his greatest hopes and dreams.  Unfortunately, Joe did not seem to believe in himself enough most of the time.

But Joe had many wonderful qualities, too.  He had a fabulous sense of humor and a sharp wit, similar to that of some of the characters in his book.  He was funny and extremely intelligent and although he was not someone to openly show affection, I somehow always knew he loved his family very much.

In January 2010, two months after his 60th birthday and with so much talent and ability that it seemed he never really tapped into, my brother Joe passed away.

My mother always recognized Joe’s potential, and now I do, too.  And although at the time of his passing it appeared that much of his talent never materialized, as it has turned out, that is not true!  His talent did materialize…literally…and I found it in my attic!

I also now realize I was wrong when I assumed Joe never followed through on anything.  He completed this book.  And I recently learned something else from his wife Gwen—soon after Joe wrote the book, they mailed copies of his manuscript to nearly 50 publishers.  When interest was not immediately shown, however, Joe stopped pursuing it.

So I decided to take it one step further and make sure The Kabrini Message is finally published, as a gift to both my brother and our mother who always believed in him.  I have been “on a mission”…yes, a woman obsessed!  But the journey has been a fun, fascinating and educational labor of love and I am thrilled and so very grateful to say that as of January 18, 2013, more than a quarter of a century after it was written, The Kabrini Message is a published novel!

They had finally made contact.  And the world would never be the same…

Jeffrey Driscoll is a rugged yet charming adventurer with a hidden consciousness: when he gazes through the eyepiece of his telescope, he senses someone is looking back.  Haunted by the stars since boyhood, he sets off on an exhilarating quest that takes him across the planet. Not quite sure what he seeks, Driscoll only knows he must keep moving. Throughout his reckless escapades, Driscoll is often accompanied by Mondo (a childlike, affable young African), Mohammed (a surly, sun-blasted Arab) and Goldstein (a cynical New York Jew), an unlikely trio that never fails to plunge face-first into hilariously perilous predicaments.

When an uptight British archeology professor hires the ragtag crew for a dig on the Greek island of Delos, Driscoll stumbles upon a miraculous find: ancient crystals with celestial coordinates that will connect mankind with the Kabrini, a highly advanced alien civilization.  Driscoll’s groundbreaking discovery ultimately leads to Planet Earth’s first global space effort, the Legacy mission.

Years later, when Driscoll Mining and the U.S. Army complete deep space construction of the Kabrini communications network, the Legacy mission is deemed a success. Mankind finally makes contact…only to discover the Kabrini Message isn’t exactly what we want to hear.  The Kabrini view our civilization as one of heightened intelligence yet no spiritual enlightenment—a dangerous combination. Although the wise alien race has the ability to offer mankind limitless knowledge and staggering technological advances, they fear our barbaric people will only use the information for evil.

As if to prove the Kabrini right, a fanatical terrorist group’s hunger for revenge leads to an explosive turn of events, threatening the Kabrini network; but Driscoll will stop at nothing to save the project.  As his obsession with the Kabrini grows and the Legacy mission spirals out of control, he risks losing it all—his company, his grasp on what’s most important and the one thing he’s ever truly loved: his wife, Carol.

somewhere_space-t1This thrilling Adventure meets Sci-Fi saga takes readers across the globe and beyond, from the jungles of Africa to the Islands of Greece, from the streets of London to the tombs of Egypt, from Washington D.C. to Los Angeles, Jamaica, and Vienna, and finally to the deepest depths of space and Earth’s first global space effort, the Legacy mission.

And when humankind finally makes contact, they discover the Kabrini “message” isn’t exactly what they expected to hear…
